Just a stone’s throw from the cities of Geneva and Lausanne, the Parc Jura vaudois stretches from the summit of the Dôle to the medieval village of Romainmôtier, famous for its abbey church.
To the north is the Vallée de Joux, famous for its watchmaking expertise and its lakes. On the other side of the Jura ridge dominated by Mont Tendre, the villages at the foot of the Jura offer breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and the Alps.
The Parc Jura Vaudois is one of the 15 regional nature parks in Switzerland. The label “Regional Nature Park” is awarded by the Swiss Confederation. A rural area, created on the initiative of its inhabitants, it is distinguished by the variety of its landscapes, the richness of its biodiversity and the uniqueness of its cultural heritage.
